For every door that we kick in, we create at least 15 new terrorists. In Germany, they documented everything, and I mean everything. Almost to a fault (That damn German meticulous attention to record keeping) So, we knew the names of the people that we were looking for when we went looking for them. If we would have randomly kicked doors in, there would have most assuredly been an insurgency. That is if the German people had not been so war-weary. They were sick of war too.
Carpet bombing?...Yeah, that went over well, especially in Dresden.
We were sold a bill of goods when they touted our technologically advanced military with it's laser-guided bombs and "smart weapons". Carpet bombings should not be necessary. Unless you just don't know who you are supposed to be bombing. Or, perhaps, it is just a matter of population control.
Vietnam maybe, but there are no parallels to be drawn between Iraq and WW2. Except that young soldiers and innocents alike, are dying. |
