Yes, but most of these people have been conditioned to adhere to the religion since they were little children. Many never even think of questioning their 'beliefs' as it has been pummeled into them; this is how I get to my idea that religion is almost a ‘social cancer’ (this is guaranteed to piss people off). It spreads and spreads, and there’s no way of using science to fully curb its pointless campaign of slowly destroying the intellectual individual. |

Richard dawkins raised a good question in relation to that: doesn't that seem a little like child abuse?
I mean, you don't have the right to smash your kids in the face. But do you really have the right to fill their heads with lies? |

| If we're already on this line of questioning, can we name any wars started by Quakers? Unless I'm missing one overseas, I think the only two Quaker world leaders have been Herbert Hoover and Richard Nixon. Not that Nixon acted very Friend-ly while in office... |

Well, you cant really tell people what they can or can't do whatsoever, morals and ethics are just the sum of the majority populous and their held beliefs; and they are who make them laws to protect themselves and others from what seems to be bad. This has changed over time however, such as any authoritarian system, like an organised religion or dictatorships, a single group or person will decide what is good for the majority. This is why you can feed children such lies and not smash them in the face, because the human 'civilizations' (after the collapse of the enlightened people i.e. Greeks; due to mysticism) were built upon religion/mysticism, and the lies are all good for them, but we know otherwise, It is not ethical to teach children about religion as fact, historically and scientific study of religion yes, but don’t teach them its true to every word. |

I have a plan, what if we make one really big blender, and put tall buildings in it. Cover it with images of Georgey, and American flags. And write AMERICA RULLLZZZZZ all over it, they all fly there in planes, and then SWOOOSHHH!!!! BLENDED! |

I nearly had religion pummeled into me... until they started telling me I should be happy when the tribulation and that other stuff occurs. And the whole "ooh, sex is sinful!" That'll really tie knots in some kids' brains... it did that to me. |

Sorry man. I know what you mean. But how can teh single thing that keeps 'gods children' from going extinct be forbidden by god himself? I mean c'mon, god really cant be a higher being if his logic isnt logic. |

Stalin was an athiest.
But i'm not going to sit here and defend religious doctrine. I don't need to. It's stupid to blame religion for war. War starts for all kindsof reasons.
Women
Power
Money
Religion
Boredom
You can't eradicate these concepts. So just try to help prevent war instead of being a douche and pointing fingers at one of the many concepts that people do war for. |
