While not wishing to harm any of God's creatures, the concept of animal rights does seem to be a wee bit one sided.
Does the tiger consider the rights of the chap on the bicycle?
Does the flea consider it rude to lunch without an invitation?
Do the worms respect our dead? |

Well, the dead guy isn't using his body any more, so it's only proper to let the worms have their fill. |

After all, we use dead worms to get food, and sometimes live ones!
I don't want to burned or eaten by animals, I would much rather have a lenin-like thing going on. |

| I once worked beside a girl who was into animal rights. She refused to use the shamoie lethers to clean the pianos. I was always grateful that she never discovered that the violins were held together with animal glue. Who knows what might have happened! |

well of course it is...man is intelligent and animals are not.
the concept of animal rights to me is summed up with the notion that i am a civilized, intelligent human being and because of my advanced knowledge i know that it is not necessary nor morally right for me to parkate in actions that support the abuse of animals.
but of course this has its limits...i can not avoid all leather, i can not avoid every corporation that abuses animals, and i can not not eat cheese. |
