and why should anyone buy american, when the cars don't hold up as well as those from japan and the resale value is shit compared to honda and toyota?

saturn is owned by GM and its claim to fame was that is was manufactured in tennessee...but i am sure they are now made in mexico.

i hop into my subaru everyday and look at all the other cars on the road that i would drive if the american manufacturers where smart enough to make a car with all wheel drive.

i know but aside from SUVs, this is a recent development.

cadillac with the inception of its newest model STS, crysler with the 300C, there is either a ford fusion or the mercury equivalent now with AWD.

i hate driving in the snow and at this juncture in my life i have no business buying a $25k car and i can not afford the gas in an SUV because i average between 25k and 30k miles a year, so i drive a subaru with AWD that gets on average 27 mpg.
