the first thing that comes to my mind is that maybe his mother was one of the women forced into prostitution while held in a concentration camp, and maybe that is how she conceived him.
if true, this hypothesis would further support a reason for supporting abortion which is because if a woman is a victim of a sexual crime and she is forced to bear the child, she is further victimized by that child's existence being a byproduct of that sexual assault which further causes her pain and does not allow her to escape from the crime committed against her.
