it is about fucking time. i can not even believe anyone allowed for it to be done away with to begin with.
i have to say that after two months of democrat control of the congress i am loving what they are trying to accomplish, especially the pelosi led house. i more or less expected them to be suckers and am surprised by both their actions and those of our beloved dictator. i am waiting to see what they do about his refusals to obey the congress. |

In the mean time, when the cops arrest you for having your machine guns and crack, guess what? With habeas corpus, you'll actually get to see the inside of a court room, rather than rotting in jail for the rest of your life! |

| Your argument would make sense if not for the fact that I possess neither a machine gun nor crack. |

When [don't[/b] people get a right to a court?
Albeit not all get the jury part, but no-one just gos to jail, this isn't the monopoly boardgame. Everyone has a due court proceeding. As nice as a jury would be, alot of times it's unesscarey and just wastes time and money. |

| True, many people simply will see a judge without the jury. |

what are you talking about?
obviously you haven't yet heard of the military commissions act of 2006, so i will excuse this statement so you can correct yourself when you brush up on current events. |

When the government claims that they are "terrorists".

Applying for bail isn't due process. Due process necessarily involves a jury (unless the defendent waives that right). |
