I was talking about the birth of the Republican Party, saying it happened in the civil war era. You direct reply was that it (the republican party), "happened in the 60s-70s as a counter to the hippies and increasing amount of liberalism being accepted into society." If this is not what you meant please clarify, because you said that it formed in the 60's. Don't believe me? Look above.

Well than the Washington Post reported wrong. Thurmond became a Republican in 1964, and Watson's gubernatorial bid didn't take place until 1970. Care to explain that? |

I was referring to your idea that Jesus had been with the GOP since the beginning.

Well than the Washington Post reported wrong. Thurmond became a Republican in 1964, and Watson's gubernatorial bid didn't take place until 1970. Care to explain that? |
Simple Strom didn't give up the racism till 1970. |
