A freer world is a happy world thats why corporatism and socialism are bad.
Socialism and Corporatism create an uneven playing field for marketers they both keep wealth consolidated to the top of the pyramid. |

If I had a choice between laissez faire capitalism and what we have now I'd choose the former, and I don't like socialism because it's just communism but pisspoor.
But capitalism versus communism? Communism all the way. |

You think that power consolidation doesn't happen in a free market?
You can certainly compose an idealized world view in which this works, but that world view will not match reality, because it would require throwing out certain characteristics of human nature and of the universe that we live in. |

If you actually watched ads for those specific items just before you posted that, you will be my hero. |

Please clarify. Are you saying "Advertising, as it is done today, is designed to take the freedom from the market." or "Advertising, in all forms, is designed to take the freedom from the market." I'm a little confused about your point. |

Most definitely the first one, the second one? ehh, I dunno, I'm having trouble see anyone using advertisement to do nothing more than say that they have stuff.
Old Navy. Clothing can be exchanged for money here.

Hmmm ... well isn't advertising suppose to take freedom from the market by making it seem to the consumer that they have fewer choices? "buy my stuff or your are a stupid ugly person" |
