Did your Senator sell out your rights for the Telecoms?

Why would the Telcom companies need immunity, if they did nothing illegal?
To hide whatever may come out in court when asked why they broke the 4th amendment.
To save money when they lose in court to millions of lawsuits from Americans who have been spied on when the fourth amendment was broken.
Kickback from Bush for all the help they gave him when he broke the fourth Amendment.
  All of the above.
None of the above. They should have received immunity, even though they willingfully broke the law for large sums of money from the government when breaking the fourth amendment.

If that was ultra-liberal, sign me up for the Republican Party.

They can have you. Cool

But seriously, if you whine some more Mr. Dramaqueen, maybe we'll all stop posting and then you can enjoy a nice, quiet forum.

To be honest, it isn't a quiet forum I want; just one where people know what the fuck they are complaining about.

And hey, maybe you won't get a whole one fucking email "spamming" your inbox too.

One or a hundred; spam is spam.

So are you going to continue whining, or will you grace us know-nothings with your apparently super-informed opinion?

If those are my only choices, I'm going to keep whining. Wink

What I love about this topic is the skillful way you kept your personal bias out of it. Brilliant! I can't even tell how you feel about it. Rolling Eyes

we love you too did you think the bill was just dandy?

I think that--as usual--those pitching the biggest hissy-fit about this issue are those who know the least about it. The level of ignorance--or the number of people in possession of misinformation--is staggering.

Plus, I'm more than a little annoyed at being spammed about it by LVC's administrator. I signed up to come to the site and discuss issues. I opt in or out on being notified about the topics that interest me. I do not recall ever checking a box that read "Please annoy me with a bias-laden, ultra-liberal screed whenever you feel like it." (If I did accidentally check such a box, please let me know where it is and I'll gladly uncheck it.)

Oh ... you didn't see that box? I don't understand why, i mean it was in 1point Old English gray on gray font ... plainly visible to anyone with 20-80 eyesight and a monitor the size of Senator Craig's stance. Wink

sheesh, Turk, can you just read the links you post for once?

Quote:
But Hoyer dismissed what he called the "fear-mongering" of Republicans arguing that America would be at risk if Congress is unable to pass a bill before the temporary measure expires. He said the House would not accept "a take-it-or-leave-it scenario" just to pass the Senate measure.

"They have all the authority they need," Hoyer said of the administration.

House Intelligence Chairman Silvestre Reyes, D-Texas, argued that if the Protect America Act is not extended, "it doesn't mean that we're somehow vulnerable. The old FISA law works, and it works very effectively."

Earlier, Reyes said, "I plan to advocate strongly for the House bill, which contains important protections for the constitutional rights of Americans.
