Perhaps Prager has never read the Dec of Ind. Perhaps he hasn't read the Constitution.

I won't claim to speak for Mr. Prager, but perhaps he was talking about equality of results, rather than equality of opportunity, the difference being that the former guarantees that people are apportioned roughly equal goods/services/incomes/etc and that the latter simply guarantees that all should be equally free to pursue their own happiness (i.e., live their lives as they see fit for their own ends without government interference, but not necessarily government support).
I welcome any thoughts. |

You're exactly right. Equality is not an american value. Equality and liberty are mutually exclusive. Liberty is an american value. Liberty means everyone is free to write their own story. Some people are losers and never get out of bed. They are the same ones Obama wants to help. |
