Hello,
i'd like to invite everyone to check out my internet television program, "Straight Talk". i believe that it is an effective way of continuing the dialogue on faith.
This is a really important discussion that needs to happen. The fate of civilization may hang in the balance.

Think you can explain a little more about your TV program?
What is its mission?
What does it cover?
Is it biased towards religion and faith in general? |

Straight Talk is a program designed to cover a variety of philosophical issues as well as current events.
The only bias that i have is towards rationality. We should have evidence for believing the things that we believe. Faith by its very nature is irrational. We do not accept irrational belief in any other area of human discourse. Why is faith protected from criticism?
The program is not always based on faith, although this week's show is the first in a mini series on atheism.

Lots of good work, I have watched them all, I suggest making your intro and signout pieces a little less loud, as they hurt my ears
Also I have to take issue with the vegetarian thing, no animal that I know of has ever asked the question, "Why am I here?"
Nor have any animals ever demonstrated conciousness to the extent that humans have.
You also stated that a cow, in your example, has an interest in avoiding pain. If the cow was euthanaised in it's slaughterhouse then it would feel no pain at all, same with a quick death. Hence, my interest in eating the cows flesh overweighs the cows interest, because he still avoids pain, he just doesn't continue his existence, and you have not shown, nor can you, that a cow has an interest in staying alive that overweighs my interest in eating that cows flesh. |
